Project Ideas

Project ideas are welcomed. Generally, these ideas must meet the following criteria:

1. Projects must be completed in 12 weeks by a small team of students.
2. A device meeting the need should not be commercially available.
3. Total cost of parts should be less than approximately $500/project (Duke covers all project costs).
4. Students should interact with the individual(s) for whom they are designing. This normally means that clients will live in the Triangle (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) area.
